A New York Tradition

Since 1986, Howard Beach Bagel Cafe has been crafting bagels the old-fashioned way — hand rolled, kettle boiled, and baked fresh daily in our stone deck ovens. Every single bagel is shaped by hand, never machine-made.

We use only Philadelphia cream cheese and Boar's Head meats — no shortcuts, no compromises. From our famous hand-rolled bagels to gourmet sandwiches, chopped salads, and catering platters — we have a menu that caters to a world of different appetites.

Best bagels ever! Every Sunday before church I come here to get a plain buttered bagel. They're always warm, hot, and moist. I tried the French Toast bagel for the first time and I'm hooked — I ate it like a donut and it was divine!

I am obsessed with this spot! I come all the way from Staten Island because no one can make bagels the way they do at Howard's. The thickest and softest bagels I've ever had! They are my go-to for catering — I won't have a party without their long sandwiches and pastas.

Howard Beach Bagel Cafe was amazing. The western omelette is very good without ham. It is a very good option for vegetarian people. It comes with a very fulfilling side of toast. This is the best cafe in Queens.
